Dan Cadenhead
President

Dan Cadenhead has over 30 years of drilling construction experience. His career with Anderson Drilling began in 1978 as an Equipment Oiler, working his way up to Equipment Operator, Equipment Dispatcher, Project Manager and Vice President to his current position. After 20 years of service Dan was promoted to President of the Company in 1998. Dan’s duties include supervision of the day-to-day operations of the company, formulating plans and policies to achieve overall corporate objectives, insuring profitable growth, and fulfilling the company’s commitment to the community. He is very active in promoting the drilling industry as past President of both the West Coast Chapter and the National Chapter of the ADSC-IAFD. Dan serves on our Board of Directors, Employee Communication and Risk Management Committees and is the leader of our Senior Management Team.

Jason Ballow
Chief Financial Officer

Jason Ballow joined Anderson Drilling as CFO in January 2008. His responsibilities include financial reporting, management reporting, budgeting and planning, regulatory reporting, banking relations, policies and procedures, and oversight for all financial operations of the company. Jason earned his BA in Business Economics from UCLA, as well as, a MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant in California and serves on both our Executive Committee and Senior Management Team.

Kelly Hawes
Vice President of Operations

Kelly Hawes joined Anderson Drilling in October 1996. He has served the company as an Equipment Operator, Tool Fabricator and General Superintendent. Kelly is a graduate of the International Association of Foundation Drilling’s (ADSC-IAFD) Supervisor Training Institute and Competent Person curriculum. Kelly is responsible for providing oversight and direction to our day to day field operations. He plans, staffs, coordinates and supervises operational activities through department, area and district managers. Kelly received the Anderson “Star Employee” Award in 2005 for his innovative ideas. Kelly serves on our Board of Directors and Employee Communication Committee and is a member of our Senior Management Team with over 20 years of drilling construction experience.

Christie Rowan
Director of Contracts

Christie Rowan has been with Anderson Drilling since March 2003. Her duties include negotiating and executing contract and subcontract agreements, assisting project managers with understanding and implementation of the contractual dispute resolution process. Christie conducts research and interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for implication and applicability to corporate matters. She prepares and presents claims to owners and general contractors at settlement meetings. Christie earned her BS in Business Administration at California State University San Marcos graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors.
Christie is an active member of the International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC-IAFD) serving on the Board of Directors and current Chair of the Education Committee. Christie is also a member of our Senior Management Team with over 10 years of experience in the drilling industry.

Dennis Poland, R.G., C.E.G.
Director of Business Development

Dennis Poland joined the Anderson Drilling Team in January 2001 bringing a strong technical background from the geo- construction industry. Initially hired as an estimator / project manager his current responsibilities cover all aspects of business development including: plan, develop, coordinate and supervise our marketing efforts at the corporate level. He supervises the development of major proposals, presentations, brochures and website materials. Dennis has helped us grow and maintain our industry affiliations and involvement with the Deep Foundation Institute (DFI), ASCE Geo-Institute, California Geotechnical Engineering Association (CalGeo), the Association of Engineering Geologists (AEG) and the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), among others. Dennis holds a BS degree in geology from Kent State University, Ohio; is a California Registered Geologist, and a California Certified Engineering Geologist. Additionally, Dennis is co-editor of our quarterly newsletter, The Drilling Times. Mike Empizo, P.E.
Director of Engineering

Mike Empizo joined the Anderson Drilling team in 2006 to lead the company’s newly created engineering department from the corporate office location in Lakeside, CA. The department services all office locations enhancing Anderson Drilling’s ability to both engineer and construct systems such that clients are provided with the most cost effective foundation and earth retention solutions.

Mr. Empizo is a registered P.E. bringing over 10 years of experience in project management and engineering design including: slope stability analysis and repair solutions, temporary and permanent earth retention and deep foundation systems design and design of capital improvement projects for city and county agencies. Mr. Empizo earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He currently holds a P.E. license in California and Nevada and is in the process of becoming licensed in several neighboring western states. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Duane Phares
District Manager- San Diego / Northern CA Region

Duane Phares has been employed with Anderson Drilling since October 1996. He has risen through the ranks of Estimator and Senior Estimator to his current position. Duane is responsible for supervising our project procurement and project management efforts in the San Diego and Northern CA regions. His primary function is to provide oversight and direction of the day to day operations at our San Diego and Concord offices by reinforcing and implementing plans and policies that are consistent with our overall corporate objectives and insuring profitability Duane supervises all division activities including personnel administration and performance reviews. Duane has previously served as our Director of Safety and Training and on the International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC-IAFD) West Coast Chapter Safety Committee. Duane currently serves on our Risk Management and Employee Communication Committees and is a member of our Senior Management Team with nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry.

John Yusunas
District Manager- Southwest Region

John began his employment with Anderson Drilling as a dispatcher in 1991. He has risen through the ranks as Yard Manager, Safety Manager and Project Manager promoted to his current position in March 2006. John is responsible for supervising our project procurement and project management efforts in the Southwest Region including the Nevada and Arizona markets. His primary function is to provide direction of the day to day operations at our Las Vegas office by reinforcing and implementing plans and policies that are consistent with our overall corporate objectives and insuring profitability.

John’s education includes attending the University of California-San Diego and is an International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC-IAFD) Supervisor Training Institute Graduate, ADSC Competent Person, and Red Cross CPR/First Aid trainer. John serves on our Risk Management Committee and is a member of our Senior Management Team.

Mike St.Germain
District Manager- Los Angeles Region

Mike St.Germain has been the District Manager- Los Angeles Region since joining the Anderson Drilling team in March 1993. Mike is responsible for supervising our project procurement and project management efforts from the greater Los Angeles Basin area, as well as, the southern-half of California’s Central Valley, coastline and desert region. His primary function is to provide direction of the day to day operations at our Chino Hills office by reinforcing and implementing plans and policies that are consistent with our overall corporate objectives and insuring profitability. Mike supervises all of his division’s activities including personnel administration and performance reviews. Mike is an active member of several industry associations including: Associated General Contractors of California (AGC-CA), International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC-IAFD) and the Deep Foundation Institute (DFI). Mike serves on our Board of Directors and Employee Communication Committee and is a member of our Senior Management Team with nearly 30 years of drilling construction experience.

Mike Waldren
District Manager- Rocky Mountain Region

Mike Waldren has been the District Manager - Rocky Mountain Region since joining the Anderson Drilling team in June 1992. Mike directs and oversees our project procurement and project management efforts in his area. He is responsible for the day to day operations at our Denver office, reinforcing and implementing plans and policies that are consistent with our overall corporate objectives and insuring profitability. Mike is an active member of several industry associations including: International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC-IAFD), where he has served as past President of the Rocky Mountain Chapter and the Deep Foundation Institute (DFI). Mike serves on our Board of Directors and is a member of our Senior Management Team with nearly 20 years of drilling construction experience.

Mike Blanchard
Director of Safety & Training

Mike Blanchard joined the Anderson Drilling team in 2006. His safety career includes 18 years of progressive loss control and safety experience with both an insurance company and an insurance broker providing risk management services to clients and group members with an emphasis in safety and health. Mike earned his B.S. Degree in Agriculture at Colorado State University. He is a Certified Safety Professional and Associate in Loss Control Management and Risk Management. Mike is a member of various professional organizations including the American Society of Safety Engineers and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
Mike’s mission for Anderson Drilling is to get and keep the Company at the forefront of safety. He provides dynamic and effective leadership to Anderson Drilling’s safety program.

Mary Webb
Controller

Mary Webb joined the Anderson Drilling Team in August 1999 as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. She has also served as our Contracts Administrator and Administrative Manager. With over 20-years of administrative experience Mary was promoted to Controller in October 2007. In addition to her duties as our Controller, Mary supervises our corporate administrative functions, is co-editor of our quarterly newsletter, The Drilling Times, serves on our Risk Management and Employee Communication Committees and is a member of our Senior Management Team.

James Forcier
Area Manager-San Diego

James Forcier joined the Anderson Drilling Team in May 2005 as an Estimator / Project Manager. Jim brought over 20 years of local drilling and earth retention knowledge to us. His experience is wide-ranging including equipment operation, field supervision, as well as project and office management. Promoted to his current position in 2009, Jim directs and oversees our project procurement and project management efforts in San Diego and Imperial Counties of southern California. He is responsible for the day to day operations at our San Diego office, reinforcing and implementing plans and policies that are consistent with our overall corporate objectives and insuring profitability. Jim is a member of our Senior Management Team.
