Equipment: Crane Attachments
The concept of drilling with an attachment dates back to
the very early days of drilled shaft construction. Historically, a drill attachment
was connected to a conventional crane to provide a combination of height, reach
and power. This method has proven over time to be very efficient and economical.
Our current fleet includes no less than eight different attachments. Along with
the help of our partner, Anderson Manufacturing, we have modified “brand name” attachments
or designed and built our own units to provide even more versatility, power and
capabilities.
Recent advances in drill equipment have facilitated the introduction of a new class
of attachments that can be fitted to several of our European style hydraulic drill
units. Our Leffer casing oscillators provide a tool for installing and removing
(if required) heavy wall casing in marginal soil conditions.
